Creature From The Black Lagoon Pinball MachineI purchased this creature from the black lagoon pinball from jr collectibles in hendersonville, nc about six years ago. I am a photographer specializing in marine images and we were going to put it in our new office. Sadly the new office never happened and the creature sat in my basement covered with a sheet for five years. I fired it up last week and after going through a seemingly endless self-test it popped up and plays great. It is set for quarters but it has 500 lire on the coin input. Two of the three inpust are covered. So i am wondering if perhaps this machine came back from overseas. You drop the quatrer into the 500 lire slot. The playfield looks in good shape and the hologram of the creature works. Once i ran it up that high and sure enough ti appeared. I am not really in the know about all the functions of this machine but watching it go through teh self-test it appears there are some things you can turn on and off. One of the features has something to do with a drive-in. The sound is still lodu and annoying. I hate to sell this machine but my business is winding down due to health reasons and i am looking at closing shop. I list it for sale here at price that is embarrassingly elss than i paid for it.The only thing is that you must pay for it immediately and pick up the machine here at my studio in apex, north carolina (27523) within a couple of weeks. I can't hold it, move it or arrange for shipping. The machine is in my basement and you can easily pull a van, pcikup or even a u-haul around back. Just bring enough big guys to help move it as chronic arthritis makse me a poor helper. I hope someone will enjoy and treasure this piece of entertainment history. Good luck.
